Dr. Burns graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic Medicine in 1982. Prior to studying at Chiropractic School, he attended Drury University where he graduated PreMed/PreLaw. Dr. Burns has been practicing for over 28 years. He operates a multidisciplinary practice incorporating Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Physical Medicine, Pain Management, and Massage. He is Board Certified in Chiropractic Sports Medicine and Manipulation Under Anesthesia. Dr. Burns is one of only a handful of chiropractors in the world that has been granted Hospital and Operating Room privileges to perform Manipulation Under Anesthesia in situations where standard conservative care has failed. Physicians from all over the country refer patients to Dr. Burns for Manipulation Under Anesthesia and/or minimally invasive spinal injections for pain management. Out of town patients stay at the Hyatt Suites next to Greenwood Ambulatory Surgery and are followed clinically for two to three days before returning home where they will continue a specific rehab protocol with their referring doctor or physical therapist.
